Jigyasa taught in a challenging community for two years in the Teach For India Fellowship during which came the realization that the idea of education in many schools is limited to academic outcomes and the security of employment and a child’s voice is compromised. This led to the conception of Slam Out Loud. It later became the first project of Arts for Social Change India (ASCI) and the idea of creating a space for expression and leadership development progressed from children to encompassing everyone. Later, through her role as National Student Leadership Consultant with Teach For India that impacted more than 40000 children and 1000 fellows, she fostered a culture of student leadership through fellow development. Currently managing Organizational development for Creatnet, she has worked with a multitude of organizations in leadership building and expression, including IHM Srinagar, Delhi University and the Government. A recipient of the Gold International Award for Young People she’s also a public speaker and musician, disseminating her learning through various institutions and TEDx talks.
