Hannah Lalhlanpuii is a young writer from Aizawl, Mizoram. Her areas of interest include postcolonial studies, children’s literature and North East writings. Her short story titled A Bird Called Freedom was published in the anthology Big Mistakes: An Anthology of Growing Up and Other Tough Stuffs (2021) published by Penguin Random House, India. Her two poems were included in Lockdown Literature from Mizoram (2021) published by Writers’ Workshop, Kolkata. She has also published a historical fiction titled When Blackbirds Fly (2022) published by Duckbill Books Penguin Random House, India. Hannah is currently teaching at the Department of English in Mizoram Christian College and lives with her family in Aizawl.
