Vaishali Shroff is an award-winning author based in Mumbai. She has published over 250 stories, fiction and nonfiction, with Indian and international publishers.
She loves writing about unexplored places, untold histories, unsung people, and voiceless nonhumans.
She received the AutHer Award 2023 for Best Author – Children, for her work, ‘Batata, Pao and All Things Portuguese’, and is twice recipient of the SCBWI USA Fellowship among other recognitions.
Vaishali wrote her debut movie script, ‘Rajasaur—An Indian Dinosaur Movie’, which has won many awards at film festivals globally.
Shroff has been invited as a speaker to various literature festivals, including The British Society for the History of Science, and her work, ‘The Adventures of Padma and a Blue Dinosaur’, has been acknowledged by The BBC.
She loves talking to children over adults and wants to be a tree in her next life.
