Sujatha Padmanabhan has authored many children’s books on nature and environment published by Kalpavriksh, Eklavya and Pratham. Bumboo – the donkey who would not budge won the “Hindu Young World-Goodbooks Award” in 2016 and The Poop Book! which she co-authored was shortlisted for the Jarul award 2022.
Sujatha is a member of Kalpavriksh, an environment NGO, She has been involved in developing environment education programmes and resources for children and teachers in many places. She has been fortunate to have spent considerable time in Ladakh working with different NGOs.
Sujatha loves being outdoors, watching birds and other creatures, and spending time walking in forested areas and mountains.
