A psychologist and business management graduate by training, and a jewellery designer, and art collector by choice – Ritu Khoda has many achievements under her belt. But her true calling was where art, education and children came together, and she founded Art1st in 2009. Since then, she has written books that have won awards, conducted workshops with children and teachers at schools across India, made award-winning films, and brought the best of Indian art and artists to children in a fun way! She has funnelled her vision into developing innovative pedagogical models, touching thousands of children with a common goal of empowering them to be independent thinkers. Ritu is someone who brings her enthusiasm and passion to everything and everyone she touches, and spreads colour in more ways than one. Her work is the very extension of herself: art lights up her world and children make it shine.
