Emily Drabble has been Head of Children’s Books Promotion and Prizes at the UK’s largest children’s reading charity BookTrust since 2016. Her job is to read books and help families and people who work with families get excited about reading and the incredible books, authors and illustrators which will help children become readers for life. Before BookTrust she was a Guardian journalist and the editor of Guardian’s children’s book website. She has written two non fiction children’s books. Emily has also interviewed many of children’s books greatest and most inspirational creators on stage including Judith Kerr, Michael Morpurgo, Malorie Blackman and Michael Rosen.
