Daya Subramanian is Managing Editor at Daffodil Lane Books. She was previously Senior Commissioning Editor at Karadi Tales, and has eight years of experience in the children’s publishing industry. She did her Masters at Oxford Brookes University, UK, where her thesis focused on the history of children’s publishing in India. It was shortlisted for – and received an honourable mention at – the London Book Fair Excellence Awards, 2017. She aims to create literature for children that can be read for pleasure, but that simultaneously informs its young readers about the world, its joys, injustices, mysteries, and the many interesting people who are quietly making a difference.
