Huthuka Sumi is a writer/photographer based in Dimapur, Nagaland. His debut GIANTS, a young adult novel set in Nagaland, won the 2025 AttaGalata BLF award in the children’s writing category.
GIANTS has also currently been shortlisted for the Dehradun Literature Festival, Valley Of Words award for 2026.
His focus areas are identity, voice, and the intersection of tribal expressions with mainstream spaces. He is currently working on his sophomore book. He and his wife share three overactive, boisterous boys.
