Suji was an elementary school librarian from 2004 to 2019 in the US, China and Malaysia, previous to which she was a systems librarian for the Smithsonian Institution Libraries for many years. Suji served for 7 years on the Kuala Lumpur Librarian Network. In 2019, Suji took the leap into the field of Service and Sustainability Education, a lifelong passion (along with her love of children’s literature and teaching)
In the fall of 2019, she joinined Orenda Learning, an organisation guiding young people in best practice service, and she co-founded a social enterprise called Make A Difference Courses, aiming to help students and teachers worldwide to enhance their global competence and sustainability via interactive online courses. She remains interested in literacy, working on building and supporting rural libraries in Indonesia and the Philippines.
