Stephen Alter is the author of twenty books of fiction and non-fiction. His books for younger readers include THE CLOUDFARERS and THE SECRET SANCTUARY. His most recent non-fiction book is WILD HIMALAYA. He was born in Mussoorie, where he continues to live and write.
