Sharanya Kunnath is an author, illustrator and graphic designer based in Bengaluru. Her work is inspired by mythology, theology, philosophy, nature and women. She graduated with an MA in Illustration from Arts University Bournemouth in the UK, and has illustrated the covers and insides of various books for children and adults. She tries to bring light and a quiet energy to her work; a restful moment in the midst of an ever-moving world. Her debut picture book, Lakshmi’s Little Bird, is inspired by rural Karnataka and offers a glimpse into her love for cows and the idea of things always working out in the end. Her newest fascination is with identifying insects and birds.
