Sandhya Rao is a journalist, books editor and writer. She has published several books for children and rendered Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking in Hindi. In 2006, she was invited to the Frankfurt Bookfair. My Friend, the Sea received a prize at the Berlin Literary Festival 2005. She has shared books with children in towns and cities inside and outside India, and participated in several bookfairs. She writes a column on books called ‘Wordsworld’ on books for Rotary News, and teaches at the Crescent School of Business. Some of her books are Ekki Dokki, Storm in the Garden, Grandma’s Eyes, My Friend the Sea, Picture Gandhi, My Gandhi Scrapbook, Okaasama Otousama, Think Eat Save and Seed Soil Sun.
