Mariyam Fatima is an author based in Delhi. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from Ambedkar University Delhi, where her research focused on Muslim women’s identity and resistance in literature. Her translations of poems by Sanjeev Kaushal have appeared in Indian Literature, the journal of Sahitya Akademi.
She previously worked as a children’s editor at Penguin Random House India. Her books include Vincent Can’t Go, illustrated by Habib Ali, and My Name is Khadija, illustrated by Isha Nagar.
Through her writing, Mariyam seeks to foster empathy, reflection and cultural understanding, creating stories that invite young readers to engage with diverse experiences and perspectives.
