Khyrunnisa A. is an award-winning writer of children’s fiction who also writes for adults. She created the popular comic character Butterfingers and authored the hilarious Butterfingers series published by Penguin Random House. Her novel, ‘Smash It, Butterfingers!’ was short-listed for Sahitya Akademi’s Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2024 (English).
‘The Lizard of Oz and Other Stories’, ‘The Crocodile Who Ate Butter Chicken for Breakfast and Other Stories’, ‘The Couch Potato Who Said Ouch and Other Funny Stories’ and ‘Baby and Dubdub’ are some of her other books.
Her two books for adults are ‘Tongue in Cheek: The Funny Side of Life’ and the humorous travelogue, ‘Chuckle Merry Spin: Us in the U.S.’
She is a full time writer and lives in Thiruvananthapuram.
