Tanya Majmudar co-founded the children’s publications program at Kalpavriksh, which has produced several award winning books on environment, communities and wildlife. Her published stories include The Monster Who Could Not Climb a Tree, Circle of Life, The Way of the Chakhesang and Grove of Gods. She has co-authored two non-fiction books Secrets of the Jungle and Something to Chew On. She has also developed and designed localised educational material for Kalpavriksh. Previously, she worked on designing reading and creative thinking programs for school interventions. She loves to see and learn about all wildlife but is partial towards frogs. Travel, music, books, dogs and coffee are a big part of her life.
