Suji was an elementary school librarian from 2004 to 2019 in the US, China and Malaysia, previous to which she was a systems librarian for the Smithsonian Institution Libraries for many years. Suji served for 7 years on the Kuala Lumpur Librarian Network. In 2019, Suji took the leap into the field of Service and Sustainability Education, a lifelong passion (along with her love of children’s literature and teaching) In the fall of 2019, she co-founded a social enterprise called Make A Difference (MAD) Courses, aiming to help students and teachers worldwide to enhance their global competence and sustainability via interactive online courses around storytelling and student-created documentary films. She is a firm believer in the power of stories to change the world.
