Gita Varadarajan is the co-author of the best selling novel Save Me a Seat and picture book My Bindi. Her new picture book, My Saree is slated to come out in Spring 2024. Gita has worked with children all over the world, earned her master’s degree in literacy education from Columbia University. She has worked with The Reading and Writing Project at Teachers College, served as adjunct faculty at The College of New Jersey and now teaches fourth grade in Princeton, N.J.She is passionate about using writing meaningfully to make people more reflective and continues spearheading reading and writing workshops in schools in India.
