She has won mutliple awards and accolades, her book The Night Diary was judged the Best Children’s Book of the year by multiple organizations including New York Times and the School Library Journal. How to Find What You’re Not Looking For is a work of historical fiction that explores anti-semitism and prejudice. It won the 2022 Sydney Taylor Book Award and the 2022 Jane Addams Book Award, both awarded by the American Library Association.
