As a children’s author, Praba Ram finds it essential and immensely gratifying to share inclusive and diverse narratives. She believes in the power of books and its positive impact on children, especially when introduced in the early years of childhood. She was a county program facilitator in Fairfax, Virginia, bringing early literacy story hours for children with limited library access.

Praba enjoys writing children’s books that feature themes as diverse as STEM, wildlife, and disability. She has co-authored twelve books for children – her most recent concept-based nonfiction book being “Can you?” published by Tulika Books of Chennai.

Recently, Praba has been focusing a lot on offering creative writing programs to middle-schoolers, and conducting workshops and counseling sessions for highschoolers interested in applying to universities abroad. She has an undergraduate degree from BITS, Pilani and a Masters in Public Policy from University of California at Los Angeles.
