Nirmal Kulkarni is a snake man and a story teller. His third line of conversation with a child or grown up is always about a fascinating nature incident or a snake adventure, every single time! As a conservation scientist has been walking various forests for over 3 decades alongside forest communities, wildlife researchers and conservation scientists to conserve forests and their wild denizens.
Nirmal has discovered 6 new species of amphibians from the Western Ghats of India and is Director of the Mhadei Research Centre, Goa. When not in field, Nirmal creates artworks from charcoal and recycled materials. He stays in Goa along with his photographer wife, an 11 year old bird watcher daughter and 2 dogs.
